OUR PURPOSE
We established Morning Hills with one mission: to help feed and vaccinate the children and families of the coffee-producing world by supplying top quality coffee, while providing excellent products for our customers.
While on a missions trip to Honduras in the spring of 2015, we visited the La Ceiba Landfill Site. Young children (some with families, some without) were living next to the refuse with no choice but to rummage through garbage in order to survive. After witnessing this, our hearts were moved and we knew something had to be done.
We have been able over the last 10 years to import coffee directly from farms. We are certified coffee graders with a strong knowledge in logistics and importation. We supply mainly products through amazon but also work directly with coffee roasters and in particular our sister organization, Los Dos Cristianos Coffee.
We are going to be starting a new venture in 2026 through to 2036 - we have acquired agricultural land here in SW Florida and will be developing the soil over 2026, 2027 and 2028 and planting Coffee Plants that will thrive in the local climate. The major challenge will be overcoming the fact that specialty coffee requires altitude and that is lacking - however growing practices in other countries such as Brazil will be employed combined with very high quality arabica and we hope to start planting in 2028 reedy to harvest within 5-7 years later - if/when successful we will be the first specialty coffee farm in Florida and we intend to grow accordingly. There is an abundance of agricultural land formally used as Citrus groves that unfortunately have died due to "greening" - we feel Coffee could be a florida crop of the future.
